KWK Mysłowice

An abandoned coal mine Mysłowice in Poland. I visited several times during trip 2009-2011.
The mine belonged to Katowicki Holding Węglowy S.A. and employed about 2,500 employees. From January 1, 2007 the “Mysłowice” mine was merged with KWK “Wesoła” and received the name KWK Mysłowice-Wesoła.
The last ton of coal was extracted on November 7, 2008.
