Castello di G

An abandoned castle in Italy. We visited it during our trip in August 2018.

The village castle has its origins in an impressive 14th-century tower.
At the end of the century, a villa was built around the tower. Then around 1870 it was rebuilt in a neo-medieval style.
Until the earthquake in May 2012, the old part of the castle housed a cultural association.
At present, the castle is being renovated.
