Mauzoleum Kopice
An abandoned graveyard in Poland. I visited it during trip in January 2021.
The Mausoleum in Kopice was built in the late 19th century as the burial place of the influential Schaffgotsch family, one of the wealthiest noble families in Silesia. Located near the magnificent Kopice Palace, the neo-Gothic structure served as a symbol of the family’s status and legacy. After World War II, the mausoleum fell into neglect, suffering damage and vandalism along with the nearby palace. Despite its ruined condition, it remains one of the most distinctive historical landmarks in the Opole region.
