Izolacja
An abandoned factory in Poland. I visited it during our trip in 2011.
This abandoned spot is located in central Poland. The plant was established as Zawierciańskie Eternit Plant in Ogrodzieniec after World War II. Earlier – during the war and shortly after – a hollow block factory operated there (it had to be large since it employed 60 workers). In 1949, the plant was rebuilt, in 1951 the first asbestos-cement slab machinery was installed, and in 1952 the plant was registered as a state-owned enterprise. From 1960, the plant also produced basalt cotton wool.
